 Salmon boa?

since my mom has FINALLY decided on letting me get a snake around Christmas,
I’ve been lookinh at different kinds of boas.

Originally I wanted a hog island, but I’m getting it from LLLReptile(unless anyone has a better suggestion) and they weren’t to good looking.

So I’m thinking a salmon boa or hypo if they have them whenever I decide to get one:)
Someone want to post pictures of theirs?
Also I heard hypo’s generally stay smaller then most bci, are salmons the same way?

I would go with the hypo. I have a hypo and hypo jungle and they are great looking snakes. They are a morph of boa and will stay the same size as normals. Dont order from lll i have heard alot of bad stuff about them. Look on kingsnake. A snake for christmas. Hmm I just thought about that. I need an albino for some sunglows i might get one of those for christmas

Okay I’ll look up some hypos on ks. I found a hogg on there a long time ago that I wanted but my mom doesn’t trust it or something. haha. Hmm but I’ll look around on there thanks for the advice:)

I’ve used LLL before. Not for snakes. Got a lizard and some dart frogs from them. I never had a problem. That said, I would suggest you find a breeder. I got mine from one here in Kansas, Mark Miller. He ships. Here’s his site. Loco Lizards He makes some great morphs and he’s a really cool guy who will answer all of your questions. You should call if you want to talk to him though. He has yet to answer an email from me. But, I would strongly recommend him. His snakes are all healthy and you know its captive bred. Buying from a place like LLL, you never really know what you’re getting.

There are a ton of places you can get salmons from....

All salmons are hypos, but not all hypos are salmons

And salmons (and orangetails) can get to be the same size as Colombian Bci. Hypo Nicaraguans do not get as big, if they are pure Nics.

Hog Island boas are also a nice choice, another boa with an undeserved bad reputation.

Those two are gorgeous. Wow. I want a Suriname/Guyana, but those two could make me consider getting a salmon bci instead.

Ben and Stacey Siegel are good people. Ben does raise his own boas, but much of his business is importation, and resale. He buys from other people (wholesale lots or whatever) and resells.

I’ve have gotten many imported Nics from him over the years.
