 Hurt finch advice.

I found a finch with half of its wing missing. I put some neosporin on the wound but it can still fly a little bit around the cage. What else can I do to help it. I am planning to keep it and tame it but I’m wondering can it live with my parakeet?

Yes. I have a parakeet/finch/canary/button quail cage. But it is pretty big. They just need their own room, like make sure the cage is big enough that they won’t be super over crowded. they are are they may fight.. Also, I suggest getting another finch. finches are flock birds and will die if they don’t have a mate., I had that happen to a friend..

If they are kept in too small of a space.. I am currently keeping 7 Finches,8 parakeets, 5 canary’s, and 6 Button Quails in a 6x6x6 enclosure. now, obliviously you don’t have to have a cage that big, but you do need a nice sized cage. I would use for 2 finches and a keet a cockatiel sized cage that could fit 2 tiels. but that is my opinion. from my experience.

Can you keep a parakeet and a cockatiel in the same cage?

No. They Tiel would hurt the keet. It is really not something you would want to do.. Some people do it, and they say their birds are the "best of friends and would never hurt each other" or that "They grew up together and are always together", But that can change in a heart beat and then your keet could loose an eye have its beak hanging off, and many more things. Just best not to risk it.
