 Pictures of my boy!

So I just recently determined that Wonton is in fact a boy! Though he was a she, but the flashlight showed definite boy!

Here are some pictures of him!

He’s on the bigger side for a beardie at 18 inches and I expect him to continue growing a little as he is about 16 months I think. He is rather svelte though, weighing in at about 385 grams.

How big do they normally get? My cousin has one, and it’s only about 10 inches long...he’s had it for 2 years, and it’s 3. Will it keep growing???

It depends. From what I have read there are multiple types of bearded dragons and a lot of interbreeding. There are also dwarf bearded dragons. If they don’t get proper nutrition or are housed incorrectly they may not grow to full size either. 10 inches including the tail is very small even for a dwarf, but at 3 years it should not be growing any more. What size cage is it in?

I’m pretty sure it’s a 40 gal long... We got it at the Midwest Reptile Expo, so maybe we didn’t realize it was a dwarf? Idk...
