:)BEARDIE IS GOING GREY HELP:) Well, they definately need to be separated asap. A male will mate a female over and over even before she is the right age and weight to be mated, which is 18 months old at least, and 350 grams. She will take all the calcium from her bones for the eggs leaving her in very poor condition as well, and a female only has to be mated one time and can store sperm laying many clutches of eggs ever months for up to a year. This is extreamly hard on the females, and if she is to young and becomes gravid, she may never survive. A male/female, or two males should not be housed together. You may get away with two females from the same clutch, but at times that doesn’t always work out either...As Jesse, said, never listen to what you are told by pet store people, most of the cases they are in it for the money, or just have no clue...
