OK I need a pretty close estimate on the size of and aquarium for a full adult Bearded Dragon I’m going two build one but I have to get glass cut to size any help is appreciated.
Going to use Plexiglass its cheaper and stronger and easier to work with not so heavy if you know what I mean LOL!!

Thank You!!

For an adult, you will need at least a 40 gallon breeder tank (36x18x18) but imo, thats a little small for an adult...If your going to build one and have the space, a 2x2x4 would be perfect....

Adapt these plans to increase the size ...makes for a great enclosure...no glass needed ..screen works too.

It looks like a gutted dresser. But maybe not, could you use a smaller dresser? Take out the drawers tracks and everything to make it smooth inside and then start the building? I have a small 6 drawer dresser Measured inside it it 2’ tall 4’ Long and 18" wide honestly just measured would that work to start with? P.S. made with plywood 1/2" thick. Let me know.

Thank for all the info. Got my Bearded Dragon today 5 1/2 months old his a pretty big boy Named him Rex he seems to like it he is in a 20 Gal right in a few months I’ll have his new home finished. Right now he is about 10/11" from tip of nose to the tip of tail didn’t want to measure him tonight he has had a stressful day, was in a cardboard box for 2 hours for the ride home The pet store we had to go to was that far away only store that had any lift and they had two male and female brother and sister didn’t have a big enough Tank For both of them so I got the male my children love him there all excited to play with him but that want happen for two or three days letting him adjust and claim down a little. Will have pic on next post.

LL,
Yes , what you described can and would work...as this species is from mostly dry and hot locales you don’t need to worry too much about water proofing...just provide good ventilation and well thought out heating and lighting. The idea has been done many times over ...you are on the right track ...

Here , this might help too.

Oh WOW Thanks the first cage is somewhat what I was wanting to do this is perfect One problem though The cutting rocks I’m not that creative so I will probably use 1" thick form like stuff glue it to the back and glue some sand or kind of a spray with that texture and use real rock and wood for the rest how does that sound?
