Awesome pictures everyone!!! Hope everybody had an awesome Halloween! Mine was amazing!

SOOOO uhhhh JUST WONDERING. Since ive brought this up before, no one minds if i start takeing control back into these, its a lot more organized when i do it no offence. Like ive said i have a lot of more free time and like to organize things. Just my oppinion, no ones excatually told me if they mind or not. I mean it wasnt suppose to be tooken out of my possesion to begin with, still just saying. Lol i know, There was a lot back when i joined, but i was only saying it was hella a lot more...not strict but organized. It doesnt mattter really im just saying, even if at least let me send them a paragraph explaining the rules, so they can post it and we can have less hectic. IDK i dont really care just would like to see these end up a lot like the ones on the WD forum ppl seem like they have fun wit it, and theres have the set of rules. JUST SAYINGGG

I like how the "contest" is already mellow and laid back. I mean, it seems pretty simple to me...winner picks a theme, we all post a picture of our tiniest pals, and we are entertained by all the critter cuteness. AND then we vote for our favorite, someone else wins, new deal with a new twist! SO far someone new wins every time and adds their own charm to the contest.

I dont wanna come off as a jerk, but frankly, all this back and forth on rules is making the game annoying to me. I only like it so I can see all the funny pics people have of their beardies. I am the only person I know with lizard of any sort and it’s been a cool addition to all the health and habitat questions.

Yeah, I agree. I think its better if we’re all kinda equal on it. We’ve been pretty good about passing the theme-picking on to people who haven’t done it already. There aren’t very many of us posting on this forum and I like the idea of everyone being treated equal without a moderator. They have been pretty organized also, we just have less people entering therefore it takes a little longer to get them rolling.
Photo contests have been going on in all the forums (not just reptic zone) for a long time so I don’t think its fair to take credit for them.
It doesn’t really make a difference to be, but if you’re going to ask what our opinion is I don’t think its necessary for anyone to moderate them.

i like it like that to..to be honest. I no it was comeing off as i was saying mine mine mine but i didnt mean it anything like that. I dont want ppl to thnk im a haha. I just meant the 3 essential rules lol. 1.) has to be a beardie 2.) 1 picture per person (unless it was something like squid(?) did and made a flyer of the same picture) and 3.) captions make it more fun :D i wasnt trying to be like ohh it has to be strict blah blah, more ppl get involved this way. how can anyone beet squid(?) and there gift of awesome photography (complimentary) (i no ppl have b4 i just wanted to compliment u on ur photography haha) I dont think those rules are to much, But hey, i dont even no why i posted that haha. Ive had a few ppl say they liked it a lil bit to organized but not to organized. Ill just leave it up to the winner to see if she wants to post rules with her post or not. Sorry if i came off bad, i really really really really dont want ppl on here to think so negatively of me hah.

Hey, I don’t think negatively at all :] forgive us if any of us came across as such. I think we all just like the forums being kick back and relaxed and maybe we’re a little protective of that.
Those rules sound fine to me. Maybe the winner can post the rules..

1. The photo must be of a bearded dragon (sorry kitty owners)
2. One picture per person (If you post more than one please indicate which one you’re entering in the contest)
3. Add a caption!!
4. Winner chooses the next theme and puts theses rules in their topic
Good luck!!

How does that look? Maybe we can copy and paste that....

I would like to suggest a couple more things if I may. I think it would be better if the votes were PMd to one person and not posted on the site. the reason I say that is to prevent hurt feelings among each other. If then the person in charge wants to post the total amount of votes per entry, ok, but to avoid hurt feelings I don’t think it is necessary to reveal who voted for whom. second, it is important to know what you are voting for. is it creativity? is it technique? is it who fits the theme best as well as how good the picture is? It doesn’t matter as well as we all agree.
