Looking into getting a beardie... need opinions first though 
Hey all, I just joined the site today, and one of my main reasons is to get some assistance from knowledgeable people. I’m actually a snake lover, I have 8 Corns, and 1 BP, and I’ve been look at and researching Bearded Dragons. I live in Maryland, and in my on line searching I found a website for a guy who breeds dragons locally to me and I need some advice and opinions on if what he has is good to go. I’ve checked out his site, and I even went over and checked out his set up and what he has. Everything looks good to me, all animals look very healthy, but I’ve never owned lizards so I don’t know what to look for. I have talked to others who know him or have dealt or heard of him and I hear grate things, but I want a thousand mile view. I want a reputable breeder which I think he is. I don’t want to have to go through the shipping stuff, costs and worries so him being local is a huge plus! I don’t want to go to any of the local pet stores though. To many horror stories and bad experiences. Sooo, can you guys give me a hand and if you can check this guy out on line and tell me your thoughts!?

never hurd or ordered there personally sorry. but explain to us what kind of set up he had if yu seen the substrate. how many dragons in a cage together . how clean the cages where. what he feeds them. what kinda of temps they were. what the uvb is if you knwo specific balbs. how big he is trying to sell the dragons at 4 inches 7 inches or what not on that. these things are necissary for us to be able to tell what kind of conditions these dragons are brough up on. also if you can ask the breeder if he mix breeds lol incestial type of breeding. because that can cause alot of health problems just like humans. also apon seeing the dragons did you see any with missing toes tails anything to raise any red flags. did the dragons looks stressed out or lethargic. just kinda sitty around with eyes closed? are they colorful or are they black? sorry for so many questions. just this is how we can tell if the ebardies are happy or if they are stressed out. umm ask the breeder what kind of dust does he use for the live feed. this will help make sure that the dragons are getting proper growth rates. and keep you from getting a dragon that has mbd which is matabolic bone disease. im sure you know alot of thsi stuff from dealing with your snakes. another quest non related to the breeder. can you tell us the basic information about the dragon. how much food it eats a day feeding times sleep paterns uvb needed temperatures needed. substrate that is good for the dragon about bathing. and what size tank do you have for his growth. i know that your not a complete noob but this is how we can help you here by making sure you have the right set up for your dragon because we dont want yoru first experince with a dragon to be a bad one. ^^ dragons are very very awsome and have very cool personalitys just has to be in the right living conditions.

WOW Pat thanks for the response... OK, I’m gonna print this out and go over it so i can get answers back on here for your analysys... SOunds like I posted at the right place!!! I love it. Ok, I’ll be replying back with answers soon. Thanks again, and any other input would be great!!! Can you check his prices and let me know if they are reasonable too? Not worried about shipping prices, just dragon cost...

she is on another site i belong to
she is really great and all of her babies do look really healthy i was looking at them theother day on her website and they all looked sooo cute
i think if you have heard really good reviews and you went and saw how healthy they look and how good the conditions were i would go for it
i ordered online so i didnt get to see the facilities
i went by pictures of her crrent dragons and the babies for sale i also went by customer service
you know how friendly she was how helpful she was to answer questions how long it took to get back to me with answers
i looove my beardie and will definatly order from her again
i think you wil be very happy if you buy from her b/c she is local so if there are any problems or you have any questions you go directly to her and dont have to wait for an email response
and yes the answer to all those questions will help even more to determine how great she is
