GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! yay! krusty i believe is his name on here. sending two females to me via fedex overnight. i have the tank set up and ive been working with temperature settings as we speak. i have to drive back to the pet store later this morning and get a lower wattage. of course the bulb got to hot in the almost completely enclosed box. the guage was reading around 150..... needless to say way to high. it was the only basking bulb they had. there getting more tomorrow. ive been on here before.
rayna i believe might remember me somewhat.
generally im in the treefrog forum, but i jump around a fair amount. i have a vast family. glad to be joining this forum in the very near future. as soon as i get em ill take a few pictures of them and the enclosure and try to get them on here.
Wish me luck,
Wayne

GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! okay im reading this and i see that you say tank. as in only one tank and you said your getting 2 females. housing beardies togethere is a bad thing. how old are thye and how big are they. the reason you do not house ebardies togethere is because one they can fight to death. one can become more dominant then the other and eat all its food while the other stresses and dies. lack of food shared. and if he sex even one of them wrong. they could mate to death. so ultimately death is on horizon well possibility yes people do house with no problem but there are more problems then none. also if they fight you could come home one day to find a missing tail or toes or anything really specially if there isnt enough food. just thought id put that out there since you seem to be running around trying to get thigns right for them which is really good. instead of running abck and forth if its a regular uv balb for heat and not an mvb then just go buy a dimmer switch at a department store which then will allow you to controll the temps. which is perfect since you can then guage how hot you want it. never know with weather these days weather its gonna be 100 degrees or -20.

GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! okay than. i saw a couple questions.
price- 120 for both shipping included.
housing-he has housed them together since they hatched. there both 7 -8 inches right now. i have another tank open and ready if there are problems at all in the beginning.
bulbs-would a dimme switch work on a basking bulb by zoomed?
thanks for the concern though. if i see any problems or signs of stress they will be separated immediately.
thanks,
Wayne

As long as the bulb is not a MVB, it will work, dimmers will not work with MVB’s...

GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! i love the water dish. people dont like water dish for one takes up space. 2 if they got sand or what not can get intot he water dish then yoru pet is drinking dirty water. 3 people dont liek it cuz if it get spill an cause mildew and what not and its bad for your dragon. i like it because i know my dragon drinks his water i watched him this morning drink it. i cant always get home at a normal time to give hima bath and im nto gonna giv ehim one at 9-12 a night then put him to bed that would be wrong of me to do so. so if i know he is getting hydration from his bowl im all for it. and yes alot of money ...... ALOT OF MONEY! lol plus if you feed your crickets inside your dragons inclosure crickets are more likely to go for food and water to much on rather then your dragon. so its better for yoru dragon. i think at least im sure somone eles has a different opion. XD

GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! Some people give their dragons a water dish, but I don’t because mine don’t drink out of it and just poop in it.

GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! i had a feeling it would be mixed reviews. im home in the afternoons almost any day. so in the beginning i dont think im gonna put a water dish. i either work at night or work in the morning. so i either leave at 4 or get home at 4-5. so bathing wont be an issue. had to drive 20minutes to the next city over to get the veggies. the only veggies available here is collards. i got chickory, collards, watercress and escarole. ill see how they do with this and what else i can find to add to the mix. hopefully when they get here tomorrow all is well and they feel semi confortable in there new home. the dimmer switches are work and i dropped the temps down. basking areas on the same side of the enclosure range from 105 - 115. the other side of the tank is around 85-90. trying to get it lower, but i have to find a fan to keep the air circulated more.
anything else i should check on before they get here?

GETTING MY BEARDIES!?!?!?! i have 3 dragons, and all of mine like to play in their water. i use a rabbit litter pan that i bought new at the pet store for about 5 bucks, it fits into the corner of the enclosure, and i constantly find my guys hanging out in their bowls....
