Frustrated@@!! How old is your beardie and how long have you been giving ParaZap? Sometimes it takes a while to work...

Frustrated@@!! Well, she must be about 3-4 months now and has grown about a 1/2 inch since we got her at 2 months. She is skinny and we try and feed her multiple times a day...if we are lucky she will eat 4 or 5 crickets a day. We just started the parazap on Saturday but she HARDLY ever will even lick her nose. I have tried dropping it on her nose, she won’t lick it most of the time, i have tried just holding the syringe in front of her hoping that she will lick it. We have spent countless hours getting her to take the parazap and eat crickets. I also bathe her and mist her often. We offer greens everyday although she prolly hasn’t touched those in a few weeks either. We are at a loss for what to do...she is not growing and will not make it if she continues this!!!
Help!!!

Frustrated@@!! Maybe she DOES have paracites, i would not give up on the parazap b/c if she goes to the vet and in fact does have paracites, they will put her on meds that may hurt her tummy anyway. What you could do since she won’t take the ParaZap is gently pull down her bottom lip like the beginning of her beard, and with the tip of the syringe with the ParaZap in it give it to her that way, try to do it quickly befor she starts to struggle...

Frustrated@@!! umm the thing could be she doesnt want crickets. i hear nancy talking about it all the time. try to switch it up i mean she needs to get plumped up so try some waxies or some umm.. silkies. or what ever eles kinda worms there are. oh pheonix there good for bulking up. she might not have any intrest for the crickets why she isnt eating. or at least do this till she gets her apetite up and gains some good weight then you can try to switch her around to other things.

Frustrated@@!! yeah i think you can fridge them. just be carefull with waxies there arent the greatest thing in fact there really bad because they are candy bars good for plumping up tho. but they can get addicted to them and not want to eat anything eles. so if you can and its possible put out an order for some silkies as well

Frustrated@@!! Yes, you keep waxies in the fridge unless you want them to breed, lol...like Sham said though, they are high in fat and are basicly junk food, keep them for a very rare treat...silks and lobster roaches are the best staple foods...

Frustrated@@!! As far as i know, and been hearing from a few people, silks are no where to be found!! It’s terrible! If you can’t find any, i would go with the lobster roaches, and yep, the only beardie in my house that will eat crickets is my baby, the other 3 will not look at them, some beardies just do not want them, can’t say i blame them, lol...

I have a few eggs in the fridge, lol, but i won’t hatch any yet b/c a had ordered some large ones a coupple months ago that had the virus, so if i hatch some right now, they will probable get the virus as well, i’m gonna wait to be on the safe side, lol...
