That will depend on the size of the cage, and even then you would probable have to try different whattages until you get the temps correct...

Big enough for a baby, but not an adult, a 40 gallon breeder will do his/her whole life, but bigger is always better for them as beardies like lots of floor space to run around...Start with a 60 whatt, but you may have to change it depending on what the temps read...

A 40 gallon breeder is 36" long, 18" wide, 16" tall. Your cage is definitely big enough.
