August is such a beautiful bd, I just love his colors.

He still looks a little skinny around the tail area.

If I am correct he should be fed whatever he can eat in 10-15 minutes at 3 times a day. They can consume more that 15 crickets in just one setting. Must be smaller than the space between his eyes. Babies need lots of protein to grow. Increase his feeding amount, and that will give you a great head start.

Good luck,

Michelle

I see, it might be because he is settling in still, for some reason alot of them take time to adjust and get into bigger feeding habits.

I am glad he eats though for you, it is better than nothing and a little goes a long ways sometime.
I forgot to mention he does look very healthy though and does look like he has grown his is first picture.

You sound like you are doing great with him, he will in time grow. Good luck with him he is beautiful. Phoenix worms are great, mine love them. And it is a good source of calcium to.

Keep us updated, I would love to see how he turns out the older he gets.
Take care,
Michelle

He’s a cutie! He does look a little sickly around the eyes, maybe he’s just sleepy, lol, have you had a fecal exam done to rule out paracites? You could just take a fresh stool sample to the vet to have it checked instead of taking him and stressing him out more...I agree though, you have only had him 2 weeks so i would give him some more time to adjust to his new home, this is probable why he is not eating so well right now, and for bathing, it should be 2-3 x a week, just to make sure he stays hydrated. Also, in the last pic, the uvb looks really close, it should be at least 6-8 inches away...A few weeks ago someone was having the same problem with their baby as you, so i suggested they try ParaZap, and now his little baby eats alot! It’s not a drug, but all natural, and will rid your baby of Paracites and the eggs, and it will also boost the appitite..there is a post about it here, i will bump it up for you and maybe you can read how it works...it’s a great product, and have helped so many people wirh their beardies, including mine...

Nancy.

I thought the same about my dragon Rameses when I got him. He wouldn’t eat much at first and didn’t seem to be growing. Now, 6 months later he’s trippled (or more) in size and eating me out of house and home! LOL
Now I can almost hear him growing, he is constantly shedding, he starts at one end, sheds all the way down, waits a few days and then starts all over again! I think it just takes a little time for them to get used to thier new surroundings.

yeah i would check him out at the vet if he isnt eating much at his age then there is somethign wrnog 5 crickets a feeding is nothing. mine i only feed once a day tried twice but he never eat because he munch on his veggies through out the day. would eat like clost to 100 cricket a day! so yeah i would take him to the vet and get him checked for parisites. if you cant aford the vet then look into the parazap which will kill anything in h im paricite wise and also make him healthier and a bigger appitite. just search the forum for the post parazap and read about it. this can help your dragon tremendously. oh and are you giving him a bath. i read nancy post stating his eyes are slugish could be a form of dehydration as well.
