Ok, we now have a thread that we don’t have to worry about getting Hi-jacked.
This is probably going to be my last post for the night, gotta lotta stuff to do.
Newfgal, did you build your cages yourself or have them built? Do you have any pics of them that you could put up here?

LOL, i also started another post for ya!! Yes my hubby and i built the enclosures, here is a picture, but they are all gone to bed, so it’s a little dark and i hope the flash didn’t wake them up, lol...Here are my babies as well..

This is my baby girl, peanut, she is OGGx and is almost 6 months and is 17 inches.

This is Charlie, under the MVB, i didn’t even know he had yellow colours until i got mvb’s, and you can’t take a decent picture under those lights, thats why the color of the picture is like that. He is roughly, 12 months.

And last of all mydarlin Spike outside yesterday, it was so hot he started gaping, lol. He is roughly 1 1/2 old. And tomorrow the tile is gone!!! Yah!!! We are putting tile board in, and then in goes the sand/soil mix, and i can’t wait to see them actually dig and make borrows instead of a towel, lol...

Nancy.

Wow, I wish I had the time, money and space to commit to BD like you do. I’m doing good to have the money to support one BD, let alone 3 or 4. What does OGGx stand for I know its something German Giant, right? NEway I am done for the night, and probably done until tuesday. If so, I will talk to you then and don’t have too much fun in the mean time.

OGG stands for orange german giant, but she is x with cawley red, and she is one heck of a sweetheart let me tell you, lol. She is not happy unless she is in momma’s arms, lol. Actually, they are all sweethearts, but with her, we have a really special bond. I put her on my chest, and she will crawl up and taste my face, lol, then she just sits there staring right into my eyes, like she’s saying, "i love you mom" lol. My hubby gets a kick out of it and believes she is part human, lol. They are truely amazing creatures, and the only thing i am worried about is breeding them next year, b/c i think i will have to keep um all!!!! lol.

From what i was told from someone who uses this mix, and who knows his stuff, lol, is as long as everything is spot on in there, and most importantly temps, that it wouldn’t be a problem, and i know everything is as it should be for my guys. I wouldn’t suggest for just anyone to do it with not enough experience, but i know for my dragons it will be fine. There is a post called dirt, what is safe and what is not, if you want to have a look...Nancy.

Kleie, if you do not have alot of years experience with beardies, i would suggest you not do it, it may cause you beardies harm if you have only had him for a short time. I have alot of years experience with beardies, and know how to do this properly.

This message is for momof3boys;...Anyway, about the lobster roaches...I have been trying to get them here in Canada as well and guess what? I am getting them!!!!! It’s a very long process and alot of work, but you need a permit, which i am waiting on and will be here any day now!! The permit cost abot 15$-25$ or something like that, which is no biggy right? Anyway, it has to go through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and my paper work is done, and they told be i would get the permit, so now it’s just the waiting game!!!! I can’t wait to get them and when i do i’t good bye crickets!!!! lol

Shamere, i feel for ya man, lol, and it’s ok, you can chatter all you want here, about whatever! lol. and momof3boys, go to C.F.I.A, online, and get their# , tell them you need info about getting the roaches shipped here for your dragons, and they will tell you what you need to do, like i said, it’s a long process, but it will be worth it once i get them, and since i may be breeding my female next year, the lobster roaches will be great!!! This permit is only a one time deal, unless you have a business or plan on starting one, then the cost goes waaaaaay up for the permit...but if you are doing the one time deal like me, i suggest breeding them like crazy! Thats the plan for me...

So you have to go through all the paperwork and need a permit every time you want an order of roaches? How would that even be possible if you need them every week? Wouldn’t know the first thing on breeding them, lol!

shamere you are a goof ball!!!! lmao..with the lobster roaches i am getting 200 of them. I am going to take at least half, just to keep for breeding, and that alone. The others i will feed and if i do run out i will not feed the breeders off until i have a good colony going. Like i said, the permit is a one time deal, and you cannot ever get another one time, but if you have your own business with insects, you can get another permit that you will beable to use whenever you need them but that one cost almost 300$ or something like that. You go to their site i gave you, and you have to fill out the online form and fax it to them or whatever, but call them first. Breeding them is not heard at all, basicly feed them, give them heat, and they do all the work themselves. I have a great friend in the u.s who is keeping my roaches at her house until i get the permit, and she said they have doubbled already, so yea, they are not hard to breed....

Nancy.
