You will be buying thousands of tiny crickets every week. You will be spending a fortune on insects. That’s the #1 downside to breeding dragons along with so many cages to keep them in small groups. I would only put 3-5 dragons per cage or some will get wounded/mauled at feeding by the others. Read the post "Breeding Beardies 101" here. It covers most everything and is sound advice.

Hey Jean...I want you to know that it is most troublesome for this to hapen to anyone. Especially anyone who cares....It happened to me kind of the same way and now I am just a hobbyist breeder with a breeding every year. But that one breeding can result in 100 + babies. Beardies can have clutch after clutch after one breeding. They hold on to sperm and can have a clutch every 20 days up to a yaer. The average number I do believe but don’t quote me is 5 clutches. They can have 20 + eggs per clutch and have a clutch laid every 20 days. It gets most expensive...only 5 to a 29 gallon tank...UVB and heat light for every baby...basking furniture for every tank...green & veggies from day 5 on for every tank...its not like you hatch the first clutch and then another clutch...its like 20 days for each clutch and 60 days for incubation...I right now have 8 baby tanks and 9 other tanks for my own beardies...it is crazy ! Hope this helps you...also I found the need to have 2 hovabators and at some time I felt the need to buy another....until I upgraded and bought another incubator.B
