Hello New here and to breeding dragon..

Hello...names Pedro am from Miami and am just getting into breeding. Or i should say want to get into it. I have many questions that will hopefully be found around here and any help would be appreciated.

I have a about 11 month old dragon its about 11 inches with his/her stubby tail. (was cut or bit off when baby) . its tan/khaki and has nice red orange by ears and along its side... I was told when i got it that it was a hypo but really unsure. Anyways heres a few piks. I am in the process of trying to find a cheap 40 breeder...from what ive read and been told thats the way to go.

BTW anyone have an explanation as to why at times my dragon seems to be dark in color.?
oh also today i noticed it has like these tiny tiny lil red things in random parts.? is this something to worry about.?

she looked so dark today...is it because she was shedding.?

Hello New here and to breeding dragon..

When a bearded dragon’s color darkens, it is often an expression of emotion. It usually means excitement or stress. If a dragon stays dark for a very long time it means that something is wrong, but otherwise it is normal.

Hello New here and to breeding dragon..

whats that little red lump thing on its head?
and if you want to get into breeding you need to have a lot of time and spare money,
afterall a beardie can lay eggs every 25-30 days for a full year after only mating once.
plus you should only really house 5-6 babies together at the most whichc means your going to need like 4 tanks-ish for one clutch, and they can eat 100 crix each a day so it gets expensive lol

just know the expenses before you even think about it lol

Hello New here and to breeding dragon..

Yea I know thanks...ive been doing alot of research and now know its goin to be abit of money. As far as the red bumps found out they might be mites. So I got a spray and should do the job. I plan on breeding this with my friends hypo. and getting everything prepared. I now have another lil baby.

Hello New here and to breeding dragon..

you can never be 100% on a morph without knowing parent ets, but looks like a normal to me, i thought they may be mites, if they never move there more than likely bad so get to a vet.
and dont breed untill mites are gone and your sure your dragon is 100% and even then i advise against it
