 Are my bearded dragons mating???

So I have 1 male, 1 female. Lately the male has been head bobbing and arm waving, and the female has been doing the same, but also biting the male’s neck and nipping his tail. Both beardies are about 3 years old. Are my beardies starting to mate? Or is it just aggression? Should I seperate them??

That sounds like mating to me. You should definately separate them. Too much mating will result in endless egg-laying, which will kill your female and become a huge burden to yourself.

They should be separated now...unless you intend to breed...it seems a little bizarre that your female is biting your male’s neck... none of my females do this...but maybe its just us...I want you to separate them...they should not be together unless you have everything, including knowlege to breed...she will have eggs in 20-25 days...so get ready. Let us know how we can help. Take good care beth
