Help!!! No hemi-penis I know this sounds weird but has anyone ever had a male beardie without a hemi-penis? My vet has said he is for sure a male and he is with a female and does all the typical male breeding behaviors with her except when he holds her down after a few minutes he just lets her go.
I am positive he is male but I don’t know why he has no penis.
Any answers would be appreciated.

Help!!! No hemi-penis Dragons have 2 hemi-penes. Just because he is not mating with a female does not mean he doesnt have his hemi-penes. In all our years breeding dragons we have never seen a male dragon just not have hemi-penes. Fighting between dragons could injure them but not cause them to not be there. Truth is if your vet has sexed him as male, he used the hemi-penile bulges to sex the animal.

Help!!! No hemi-penis Thank you for replying. My vet tried to manual get the hemi-penis to come out and he said he could not find it and it would not come out. Any chance it is stuck inside of him?
anything I can do?

Help!!! No hemi-penis Find a different vet. #1 for wanting to evert the organs for no reason, and #2 because he couldn’t figure it out. If the bulges are there (and they are very easy to see), just because your vet couldn’t manually evert them doesn’t mean somethings wrong with the dragon. Personally, I think you should leave them alone unless there’s something wrong with the organ (e.g. it had a prolapse out for several days or something and he needed to reevaluate how it’s healing up).
