 Second clutch
Hey everyone, I jsut wanted to let you all know that my second clutch of babies has just finished hatching today. Mama Puff layed 5 clutches, first clutch 26 eggs layed, 2 infertile during incubation, 24/24 hatched. Second clutch she layed 26 eggs, all eggs made it through incubation, all 26 just hatched. 3rd clutch she layed 28, 3 infertile when layed, 2 infertile during incubation, 23 left all healthy, about 58 days today. fourth clutch she layed 27, 2 infertile when layed, 25 in incubation, they are 42 days into cooking.
Im very surprised that I have managed to hatch 100% both first and seconds clutches so far, I have heard its not a common thing. I have pictures, but my batteries in the digi cam are dead, so i have to buy some new ones. So pictures coming soon :) im up to 50 babies now, 3 adults :)

Crystal that’s wonderful, I’m happy for you but have a question for ya... Well a question for everyone actually :)
What do you do with all the babies? Are you keeping them all, selling them online or to pet stores, giving them to friends or what?
Just curious cause I’m worried I won’t be able to find all mine homes..

Amanda, Crystal is in a different situation. Shes up in Canada, where dragons are no where near as popular as they are here... yet. Your best bet would be to find a local pet store interested in them. Shipping supplies alone can cost $100’s let alone the costs to properly house, feed and care for the babies. If you dont think you can handle this cost, or really doubt you will be able to home them, the ethical thing to do is to freeze the eggs. Housing even 20 babies can cost more then $300 just for caging and lighting. I dont want to sound harsh, but the truth is there are alot of people that breed dragons, and cant care for them properly. The only ones who suffer are the animals. Think about what is best for them, not you, and do the ethical thing. -Jay

Thanks Jay but I’m ready I have all the cages, lights, dust, food, ect.. I’m ready for them was just wondering how everyone finds homes for theirs, I have takers already if I can’t sell them I have a list of people who want them for free. I love the part of getting to learn them and tame them ect.. It doesn’t bother me to give them away. I hate people with a passion who have 110 baby dragons and want to sell them all for $200 each and will make the babies suffer cause they are greedy, I’m not using my dragons to become rich they are my loving pets!
But anyway I was just wondering as for giving them to a petshop we only have one and it is over 2 hours away... 0.o

2hrs in a car is a walk in the park for them, the other option is one of the many places that buys whole clutches wholesale. Only problem with that is the having to ship them.

hi jason do u guys make any money off selling dragons to make it worth the cost? i live in iowa where finding a breeder is a little hard thats why i would like to breed my 2 awsome dragons, i would love to sell nice healthy dragons to people no these almost dead ones u find in a pet store

Dont worry, we just had them on top of each other for the pics, there were 4 ppl around the 3 lizards. Cant believe I have 50 babies now ! crazy stuff man, but theyre cute arent they :)
