hi everyone. I’m usually on the monitor or python forum. but last night at my friends reptile shop some guy came in saying he had to get rid of his bearded dragon because he was moving and could not take the dragon with him. anyway i paid 100 for an adult male bearded dragon. hes very healthy. at some point in his life he had mbd as hes got a slight kink in his tail, but the guy told me it was a long time ago when his girlfriend had it. He took it from her and it is in great health now. anyway i was just wondering if anyone here goes to the Ohio reptile show. I’m going to take it there this month and id be willing to sell him for cheap like 70 bucks, i don’t care if i don’t get my money back, i just wasn’t planning on keeping this guy and im not much of a bearded dragon person, so if any of you are going maybe we can work something out, please let me know. ill post pics later.

did you read the post ? i will be taking him to the all ohio reptile show. i live about 40 min north of columbus ohio. But i see that you live in oklahoma so i doubt you would want to drive all this way for him haha.

Yes, I read the post but I didn’t want to assume you lived in Ohio. Yes, I live in Oklahoma but I drive to the Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas shows, so I didnt want to assume.

I can’t take him (nowhere near Ohio), but I just wanted to suggest that you change his substrate. What I can see in one of the photos would seriously damage him if he ingested any of it. Paper towels, newspaper, shelf liner, tiles, or reptile carpet are better substrates.

id like to see you put an enclosure together in 10 min. i clearly stated i don’t keep dragons, i don’t know dragons, and i have never kept dragons... ITS NOT MY THING. cypress is all i had in the moment. I keep many things LIVING probably better then yourself. like i said i will not be keeping it. I am selling it at the all ohio reptile show. july 19. it should be fine till then.

I hope that wasn’t directed towards me, I was just trying to help and in no way suggested that you are abusing him. In fact, thank you for taking him in.

Paper towels should be pretty easy to find if you don’t already have them. Just a suggestion since one bite of that bedding could kill him. Much different from monitors.

Good luck finding him a home.

Some how i highly doubt you put this enclosure together in 10 mins as the pics are dated for 2002 and its now 2008..... Some pleaseeee correct me if im wrong.... i really hope i am..

I dont know what your trying to get out of this.

Im not having a go by any means but please dont lie about things like this, all the people here are very nice and are trying to help other people with problems, try not to waste there time.

my camera is not dated... you really thing i would post pictures 6 years old. and then ask if anyone is going to the ohio reptile show and wants to pick him up, and then id just not show up because oh, that was six years ago ? give me a break, im sorry i ever asked. its this simple please post if you CAN TAKE HIM. other wise don’t post at all. I’m not trying to get anything out of this. as i said and ill say it again... this was a rescue... i took this dragon in so that the guy would not let it go out into the wilderness of ohio (certain death). Like i said i wasnt having a go at you, but yes people do these types of things all the time. I just didnt want anyone to get ripped of or anything like that.

Sorry for the mis understanding, and im glad your not just yet another scammer.

Try not to get to steamed up about it as i was just saying, i wasnt acusing you of trying to scam anyone for defenite. I just know about all about terrible stories of scamers and would hate to see it happen to anyone.

Its good to see people helping out poor animals that are in bad living conditions.

Hope someone can help you out and give him a good home!

Lol. Stop having this ridiculous argument. I know what it’s like to do rescue, especially with animals you don’t know much about. All he needed was a kind tip as to what substrate would be easy to find and much safer. And no one needed to blow up at anyone.

I truly would take him if I lived closer or if you could maybe ship him? I’d pay for shipping if that’s an option...

I can’t guarantee that I would keep him but I’m good at finding new homes and would get him a vet check, etc.
