 4th of July Babies!!

Our second clutch has hatched over the weekend. Thought I would share some pics.






A couple seem to have some nice orange colors. They are so funny to watch!! Started eating crix yesterday.

OK ??? Do they just start eating the crickets.. or do you have to handfeed them? We havent seen our guys eat them yet.. but have had to feed them with tweezers.. are we spoiling them.. or doing the right thing?

also.. I notice a lot of people posting pics of their guys in totes.. do you all store them in sterilites? Or do you just put them in there to take pics?

You shouldn’t have to hand feed babies after they have absorbed the sack they are usually ready to eat anything that moves. I also leave a dish of small meal worms out.

The totes are great for hatchlngs they are easy to clean and are inexpensive to house the newborns until you get rid of them.

We keep them in the BIG rubbermaids because it is inexpensive. Kind of funny to watch too.....the edges are rounded so they run in place like they are on little treadmills so they get their exercise too! LOL.......

We offered small crix when they looked hungry and some put their tails up and hunted them down. The others are not too sure, but they’ll get there. I watch them and if one seems intimidated by the others I put him in a separate container to eat his crix.

It can take some up to a week to not eat anything. And some are afreaid of the crickets at first. Keep offering and they will start eating when they’re ready.

Thank you everyone.. gosh THIS is why I love this place.. look over all the drama and find the facts and real helpful advice!

I already have all the tanks so I guess I will stick with them. We are afraid of fire hazards here so I guess it is better for us to have the glass tanks.

We also sadly only had 2 hatch so no need to seperate HEHE

Awww they are soooo adorable my nana layed about 35 days ago and 10 are still lookin good i can see movement in them now also i am sooo excited we are all so anxious to see them!! Beautiful babies you have there though thought i would let ya know GOOD JOB !! hehe
