Do you plan on leaving him home or taking with??

2 days at home alone with a stock pile of veggies to eat for a day ...he wont suffer a bit. Lights ...get a cheap timer at Home Depot or Walmart and set the times off and on...or not ...two days of just ambient light wont be bad

You can also feed him his favorite bugs the hour before you leave...

Analog timers are about 8.00 and maybe less
Digital timers are 2x that ...but maybe you will find a deal?

The analog timers have pegs you set in a hole ...as the dial rotates (like a clock) they hit the switch inside at the desired time...2 pegs ...1 for on and 1 for off

Digital Timers are all LCD display and you program them ...

Here is an analog timer at THD
BRINKS TIMER

And a digital
I have all digital at my house with about 4 total operating various enclosures and different lights...2 rooms

Various types ...some do more ...some basic
Digital

We have a friend who drives about 10-11 hours from San Diego California...she brings her favorite iguanas and a beardie or 2

The beardies travel in a plastic shoe box from the dollar store , obviously with air holes drilled and some soft towel for the journey.

The iguanas travel in a medium size animal carrier...and they are just fine for the trip. Then we set them up in a comfortable tank here for the week....10 gallons is plenty for a beardie for a short time. with lots of free time out in the house they dont get cramped or too cold ...or anything.

The iguanas have free roaming privileges all day and night and we have shelving units that act as basking/ sleeping areas...with a home made ladder so they can climb up the 8 foot shelf.

Quite the circus and we love it..lol

Funny you should mention it especially now. Our guest always comes up in October and this past week she just spent a hectic 7 days with us. Fun times and lots of new adventures.

Thank you , the smaller iguana in the picture is hers and it has doubled in weight within the past year. Isadora is beautiful and sooo green.
