 OT--FREE Corn Snakes

I hatched out 15 corn snakes the other day. They will all have to go. They should have there first shed within the next week and I will let them go after there first meal. I will even be willing to ship as long as I can find out how and you are willing to pay for the shipping cost. I will try to post pics in the next couple of days.

Umm, sorry about the double posting. I was just wondering if you have shipped reptiles before? I have, so if you have any questions just pm me. Last year I shipped two baby dragons to Illinois and it cost around $25 I am thinking. Last time I checked, USPS overnight was the safest and quickest way to go. If you are shipping to Nina and I in California, I will check again with my sources as to the current safest and surest way to go - handling policies and service seems to vary from time to time.

Hey everyone, I will try to post pics tomorrow. This little gator is keeping me busy, not to mention all my other critters. He is doing well, he just started hormone treatments and his jaw is firming up nicely. He got my finger the other day when I was trying to force feed him, I will now let him try to eat on his own!!!

OK, now on to the corn snakes. I have 15 of them and they are really cool. never seen a snake egg hatch before and me and the kids sat there for about 5 hrs watching them hatch. A 5 and 7 year old not moving for that long is a miracle. Good lesson though. I will look into shipping and I will need some guidance when it comes to packing them. I am having surgery on Wednesday I wont be checking anything that day. I wont be down for long though because I got the reptiles to take care of. The corns haven’t had there first shed yet anyway so I haven’t gotten a meal in them.

Oh yeah, And I have no idea what a PM is, I’m lucky I can turn this computer on.

Hahaha, a PM is a Private Message. You just click on a person’s screen name and their profile will come up. Then you click on "contact this person" or something like that, and you get to type in a private message.

I only got pics on my cell phone and I don’t know how to get that on the computer. My wife wasn’t home and I have trouble working her camera. I must be the dumbest guy when it comes to electronics. But the bottom line is, If it doesn’t have a pulse then it really doesn’t interest me.

When you are on the forum look up to your top right hand corner and it will say 0 or 1 or 2 or if your Edel 15 messages.Click on that and it will open you message center..I bet you have a few since this post went up..lol

You can send the pics to your e mail from your phone go to the pic on your phone and hit send it might be in your options on that pic and when it ask for the # to send the pic to send it to your e mail.Then you can save it and upload it here or photobucket or what ever.

Sorry I havnt got back to some of you, My knee is still really sore from the surgery but I’m breaking out of this house either tomorrow or Wednesday. I cant take it anymore!!! If anyone knows how to pack and ship snakes it would be a big help. Maybe whay I will need and EXACTLY how to go about it. And who is the best shipper to use.

The snakes have all shed and will be fed as soon as I get some pinks. They look really nice post shed.

you better take a easy and kinda favor that knee. You will need it later! LOL
I went through my moms knee surgery years ago, no fun! She was in tons of pain. But you do need to limit the use, or it will not heal as fast/good.
Sorry for the ’mommy’ advice!! LOL :)

Thanks for the advice, but I don’t have the patience for this crap. I can spend a week researching how to rehab an animal but don’t ask me to sit for 10 minuets to heal an injury. Boy, you would think i would be thinner. Does anyone have any advice on how to get these corns to eat? only 3 out of 15 ate for me.

I found out how to ship now I have to find out how much.
My cat tripped me down the stairs so I made another trip to the doctor today, only this time for a big imobilizing brace. *note to self, toss cat in Boa tank when I’m able to walk* OK, I’m kidding about the Boa tank.

Jim,

You can try and get them to eat by braining a pinkie.....yea, nasty, but they say it works. I haven’t tried it and will NOT. I guess you take something like an exacto knife, squeeze the brain out, rub it in the snakes face and hope. lol (Sorry, I know....but I learned this from some corn expert. UGH)

You can also soak a pinkie in tuna and leave the snake in a small dark tub for the night. They are nocturnal, so night makes sense for them to eat.

The knee..............well, I alreay yelled at you about it. ;)

It will have to happen tomorrow, already took pain pills. I’m not touching a sharp knife and a small pinky while drugged, not even I’m that dumb. When I was lying on my back at the bottom of the stairs, holy crap was that funny and I swear the cat flipped me off.
