 Will he calm down?

I have a baby green basilisk, he’s jumpy and nervous (normal...)

I was wondering, since I saw many videos of grown basilisk, do they calm down eventually?
Or the adults basilisks I saw were just well tamed?

I’ve been told goldfish were not a good food for basilisk :/
And I can’t give him any food because I can’t catch him and he won’t look at the food I want to offer him.

The only thing is you should keep them in tank with filter and feed them good you can put a
A little saltwater salt in tanks to kill worms or parasites if they have any I mainly feed mine superworms I but a thousand at a time and feed them potatoes and fish flake food for nutrition

Like I said...
He won’t look at what I offer him.
He let the worm die and didn’t eat them.

I put guppies in his huge water bowl and again, wasn’t interested.

I’m ready to try anything, but I already tried A LOT, I just don’t know what to do anymore.

The crickets have time to find a way out the tank before the lizard decide to eat them..

And for the record, I NEVER saw my basilisk eat on his own.

How is your tank set up he might not feel comfortable sometimes putting more sticks and plants in help a lot then we he get comfortable you can mix it up try to
Put some fake plants in and sticks make him feel safe and put the crickets in a small dog bowl and clip the back legs off them so they can not jump out if it is that wild try not to handle it until you start to see it eat for a couple weeks they like wax worms to but do not feed them all the time
