Help please I just got a new mAle green basilisk

We just got a green basilisk , at the petshop the bottom of his tank about 5 inch of water so that what we did ... We put branches vines a hammock a waterfall... We were told to shut the light off at night.. But i read that at night we should get a heat light (red light) .. What should I do? the temp is at 80 and humidity at 76-80 (just got the lizard so the lanp was only on a couple of hours so far) and the tank is 18x18x18 and 100 watts bulb ...is that ok? Should i get a red light for the night i was told only if it at night it gets below 75..?

I would get a CHE(ceramic heat emitter) rather than a red bulb as it will last longer & your reptile won’t be disturbed by the light

here is a site with good info as Chinewse Water Dragons & Basilisks
share a lot of similarities & needs
