What an incredible set-up! That is a gorgeous little basilisk too, and certainly a lucky one to have such a great habitat!

just a matter of time before
one of those agrresive fish u have or the squirrel
make a meal of your basilisk.
squirrels often eat small nestling birds
and are quite fond of a "meaty diet"

i think the squirrel is stuffed and i think you are right about the fish though and you don’t have any land? how are you going to feed crickets and stuff?

Fish and basalik get along fine. He doesn’t spend allot of time in the water. He goes down gets a drink maybe runs to the other side . Land is all the Branch’s and the top of the waterfall in the middle .I just take and let the crickets go in the habitat. Squirrel is stuffed. makes a great conversation piece. Only one fish in the tank will be able to get big enuf to eat the basalik. And that’s the catfish. The peacock bass might get big enuf. But by time its big enuf to eat the lizard. The lizard will be to big for that. I plan on adding a shelf on the right side of the habitat. And putting a piece of Sod grass or something there. and loading it with night-crawlers. Crickets just run around The setup. I cant decide if i wanna get a female green basalik or a water dragon to go with the brown basalik i currently have. But i definitely want a second lizard in there.

Woahh wicked setup dude. Your basilisk is in heaven. As for a next lizard in there you should get another brown basilisk. Never mix species. Even though Green Basilisk and Brown Basilisk are from the same place. Water Dragons however are from a completely different continent. Get a another female if you dont want babies.

sweet setup I’ve always wanted a baslisk but never got around to getting one. Also when they stuff an animal they remove anything that would cause it to rot or smell or draw diseases to it. I would be worried about the peacock bass though but as long as he’s not big enough to eat the baslisk your fine.

yeah the peacock is still to small to eat him. and he should be to big to be ate when peacock does get big enuf. I personaly think my catfish will have the bigest chance of eating the basalik when the catfish is full grown. But do to it being a bottom feeder i dont see it happening

i got cuban anoles and pacific geckos in other cages. working on breeding them. once i get a good population of the anoles ima throw them in to bring more action to the setup. my anoles are already laying eggs. just havent tried to incubate them yet. been to busy to try. but i no i got a breeding pair. and the indo pacific geckos suposedly dont need mates to lay eggs. i got three of them and three anoles.
