Thats about 1/20 of the size needed for a basilisk baby or not. I have my baby in a 3 foot by 4.5 foot by 1.5 foot and he uses all of it. That would cramp and kill your lizard. Do more research because its very inhumane to keep a lizard that energetic in that thing. That would be too small for its water dish.

If money is a concern in regards to proper housing then you should not be considering reptiles. In addition to an eclosure that should be measured in feet and not inches, you will need to purchase an array of lighting equipment. These things are all REQUIRED. And a baby basilisks grow fast, eat a lot and need lots of space.

umm i would recomend just not getting one. because if u want to put it in a hermit crab enclosure then u most likely have no clue about calcium powder, lighting, humidity, temperature, feeding, etc.
plz dont get a basie as ur first pet.

How can you compare Anoles to a Basilisks? That doesn’t make any sense at all and that dinky little enclosure could barely house a couple crickets comfortably. If you think a 20 gallon enclosure is expensive you definitely need to look into another pet or save until you can afford the reptile you want. Study up on them and come back after mowing a few lawns and maybe getting a job. Don’t buy a reptile and make it miserable. Reptiles deserve to have a good life too.
