 Help!! Snake might be sick!?

I just got my snake (2years old) about 4.5 weeks ago, here’s the situation:

-Last ate a live rat a little over 2 weeks ago.
-Shortly after, he started laying in his water bowl, and has been for 2 weeks straight now.
-I keep humidity high (60-70%) Temps regular cool side:80ish, warm side: 94-69, occasionally reaching 100.
-Started showing signs of the shedding process 1.5 weeks ago (pink belly, dull color, blue eyes).
-Still in water bowl, I checked for mites, none.
-I had to leave for a few days for work, I left him with a friend. She said he STILL hasn’t shed (eyes have been blue for 5 days now) and that his enclosure is starting to smell bad. (I suspect she hasn’t changed the water)

Why is he always in his water bowl? Why hasn’t he shed yet? Could the smell be something other than his water bowl?

Please help!

I have a ball python that does that sometimes too he should shed soon as for the smell that might be the water or he pooed and it’s starting to smell bad. But you should feed him ever 5-7 days if you can if not that’s fine they can live for a while without food.
