Ball python disappeared-- possibly escape climbing about 20 inches

This snake is a yearling and I’m pretty concerned but I’ve taped the enclosure pretty well. He’s about 2 ft. He could have only escaped out the top but that would mean climbing up glass for about 20 inches. I’m thinking he might be in his substrate too which I’ll dig through. Is this even possible?

The chances of him being in his substrate are larger than him climbing out of his tank but if he’s not in there then look everywhere no place is to small for them to hide.

Found him under the water dish. I was definitely a bit baffled. At least all security issues are fixed now.
