 Bath Suggestion?

Ok, someone suggested putting my BP in bath with something to grip to help with shed. Few questions for anyone who will answer...
How warm should water be?
How much water?
Will towels in tub work for her to grip?
How long should I let her stay in?
We actually have heatlamps in our bathroom for sauna effect...should I use them to up humidity while she’s in there?

She’s been in shed for 2 weeks and since my earlier post she has flipped her hides, drank water and balled back up. Still hasn’t shed though. She is being a difficult little lady this shed. AAAHHHH!

Thanks for any suggestions!

I personally see no need to soak a BP if your husbandry is on target. If she is flipping her water... my instinct would tell me that she is trying to up her humidity(to help herself shed) What type of enclosure do you have... what are temps and humidity?

I would personally double check my husbandry before I soaked her, so atleast it will be correct

Do not soak your BP prior to a shed you should only consider soaking your BP after a shed and only if your BP has a stuck shed issue.

In that case use a sterilite tub and put luke warm water up to your BP’s back put the lid on and place the tub on the warm side of your BP’s enclosure (leave it there for 20-30 minutes)

The shed process last 9 to 14

Just make sure you provide 50%-60% humidity at all time (measured with a Digital thermometer)

She flipped her hide, not water. She took a drink of her water but didn’t go into water bowl.

Humidity is 72%
Temp on warm side is 92
Temp on cool side is 81

All is well with habitat, she’s just taking her sweet time this go. I can’t see any problems and I even changed gauges to verify correct temps and humidity...all digital. Same numbers with both. She has been in and out of her hide on the warm side a few times this afternoon but not far, just pokes out noses around and back in she goes.

We are on day 14 of shed cycle so maybe I’m just getting worried for nothing?

I agree, no soaking.
You could however giver ’er a misting... spray her down, but don’t drench her.

Also, does she have Heavy stuff she could use to rub on?
She could just be having a hard time getting started.

I have a large rock in each of my enclosures,
and occasionally I do mist both of mine.

The last time I actually misted them... I sprayed the first one down...
head to tail, belly and all... she started gripping on my hand/arm...
and shed right in my hands.
