Cutting the eggs
aparantly the benifit from it is that there is more of a chance of them surviving e.g- if a fertile egg is about to hatch but it cannot break through the shell! that and unfertile eggs are the main problem with eggs not hatching!?! heres a link to some leucistic nd ivory retics being cut open, http://www.you-tube.com/watch?v=AcFo1cmNRes (take out the slash) what are your views on this? i just wanted to know before i start breeding my tics and bps cheers BOVER |

It is actually pretty easy. The eggs are so dimpled at that point that it is easy to get some shell without veins. The coolest part is seeing the veins running over the top of the yolk. I lost one of 6 eggs, but this wee snake had her umbilicus wrapped, and would have expired in the egg had I not intervened. Bruce |
