I am also not familiar with your thermometer brand- does it have a probe that you can place directly on top of the substrate in the cage above the UTH to get an curate reading? If the thermometer is on the side of the cage, you are not getting an accurate reading. The brand I use is Acurite- 13 bucks from walmart/lowes/home depot. This ha sa probe that you can place on the hot spot. Here is alink toi a website- tho it is WAY overpriced- this will let you see what I am talking about Acurite thermomter If yours does have a probe and you have it set up over the hot spot, perhaps the carpet is thick, or you may just have to turn up your t-stat. My t-stats are set to about 100, but cage only reads about 92. :D edf |
