 Baby CKanole!

New baby just hatched yesterday! This one is very fiesty! He jumped out of the deli cup and bit me, lol! After I put him in his cage he started doing head bobs at me too:) So very cute!

In the incubator just hatched



After I took him out of the incubator and opened the deli cup



Sitting on me with hatchrite all over him and with the yolk still attached



After I cleaned the hatchrite off and after he ate the yolk off his belly

That is awesome! They are actually even better looking when they’re little although thats hard to believe. That is so cool. I may have missed where you said, but is it a boy/girl or is it hard to tell

Well from what I read and what I have been told by a breeder (not in US) is that baby females have white bands and males do not. So that would make this baby a little girl:)

My friend is going crazy over this baby, he has been wanting me to hatch one out for him since last year. He is a manager at a herp pet store and has seen me bring in my other CKanoles. He loves how big and friendly they are and has wanted one ever since. He has passed up WC ones that come into the store because he wants CBB. I think it’s awesome. One more person who appreciates this species!

My Knight is doing great! I have been given quite a few compliments on his terrarium. He just shed yesterday actually. But he is still on this dumb superworm kick. He’ll only eat those and waxworms and nothing else. No fruit, nothing. I want to vary his diet up to get him a wide range of nutrients but no go so far...

Cool! Yeah they do that with the superworms. It will pass eventually. Just keep trying to offer the other insects. Sometimes I have to hand feed mine other insects in order to get them to eat them. They are so spoiled! It’s like they know they got me wrapped around their little fingers:)

haha I’m sure they do actually.You’re super tight with your Anoles, I dont know if my dude will ever be like that with me. But he was wild caught late in life too so I doubt it. . Anyways, Im gonna order some silkworms and hornworms again and see if he’ll eat em.

Yeah yours was an adult so I doubt if he will ever get super tame like mine. You never know though, there is always exceptions to the rule! Keep us updated on the silk worm and hornworm trials:)

This little baby is now very spoiled like the rest! It eats from my hand and always wants to come out now! I see it run to the top upside down on the lid just like the parents wanting out. I stick my hand in there and it runs right up my arm! So freaking cute, I love it!
