These are some pics of my terrariums.

My Anole Cage

My Whites Tree Frog Cage

My American Green Tree Frog Cage

My Emergency Cage

These are all planted terrariums. There are some suction cup artificial on the glass until the plants grow taller. The substrate is the cocoa fiber with real moss growing over the fiber so there is no loose chunks.

Well, they are nice looking but not proffessional. I still have some work to do to get them to match atrax care sheet, so my anoles can have a long safe life.

What good is the stones supposed to do? Will it grow mold? Is it easy to clean?
Im pretty curious because vivs look like a good idea.

The stones (gravel) are usually used for drainage. They can, however, foster mold and bacteria. I have found that organic compost or organic potting soil without gravel work just as well unless severely overwatered in which case the plants die anyway.

Cleaning the enclosure would be a real chore since they would have to be replaced or at least disinfected as well as replacing the substrate.

Thats one of the problems. I would like to be able to clean it out really good.I can scoop out alot of substrate and replace it but I cant disinfect any thing. I soak it with water alot, kind of like power washing with a spray bottle but the water does stand in the rocks. Sometimes I put a turkey baster through the dirt and suck out the water in the stones but yeah thats disgusting down there.
