What plant to use
 i’m going to get a brown anole and i want to a put live plant in the tank. but i don’t know what plant to use. i was going to get an ivy, but i heard that they would take over my 20 gallon tall terrarium (i’m new to using live plants). does anyone have any suggestions

What plant to use  I read that it’s good to use plants in the philodendron or ficus families, however some of them can get big so choose carefully. I read that you can also use Pothos, also known as Devil’s Ivy. I am using one of those, as well as some small palm plants i got from Home Depot. My green anole often likes to sit on top of the little Palms, and it’s very entertaining to watch her when she accidentally slides down them. Hope that helps.
Also, I re-potted them all in a peat moss/sand mix 1 part sand to 2 parts peat moss. the sand helps the plants retain moisture. you could also use an organic soil or organic compost for that.
