Do I need to be more worried than I am or is he ok?

I went to give Thor a beetle the other day (cos i know he loves crunchy things), and he was dozing in his leaves as normal. when i moved the leaves, he didnt budge.
On closer inspection he was as far as i could tell dead
when i had pried him out of the leaves he still wasnt moving, but i could see he WAS breathing and he blinked at me, then about a minute later he scampered off to sit under the light.

I’m thinking maybe he was too cold, cos after basking for a while he was fine, and today he was being as mischievous as ever.
I’ve put a wall of polystyrene in his corner (he will without fail always sleep in the same corner of the tank no matter what i put there) and stuck an old heat mat on the side of the tank as well (dont worry, its on the outside)

is this enough? (theres 3 heat mats around the tank now - one underneath and 2 on the walls)
the side of tank thats not got underfloor heating has a think layer of substrate to try to trap heat and the other has barely any so the heat can rise. i’ve also got a lot of foliage in there so theres less space for cold air and i dont mist as often and definitely not in the evening.

or do you reckon theres something other than temperature involved?

it just seems odd it would only be him, but he does tend to sleep furthest away from the heat
