 I SAW THE WORST THING TODAY!!!
i went to petsmart today and they had a little 5 gallon tank with 4 long tailed grass lizards, 4 baby brown anoles, 4 baby green anoles, and 1 adult green anole all packed together in the little 5 gallon tank. and the adult a had a bloody nose from running into the glass!!! the long tailed gress lizards looked pretty healthy, but the anoles all looked sick. and one anole looked like it was starving!!!

thats the pet trade for ya. theres a pet shop near me that keeps brown and green anoles together in sweltering heat with no water, worse still they’ve got young water dragons who have a water dish which is small and too tall for them to get at so they’re pretty much on deaths door. thing is though, places like that probably sell reptiles cheap, therefore people buy from them, thus increasing demand and the cycle continues.
a lot of pet shops dont know how to look after reptiles.
