Possible emergency, Cuban Anole, prolapse? Hey, Im going to post a picture of what Im seeing hopefully. Basically my Anole (equestreus equestreus) is hanging upside down on the screen top of his enclosure. Which is a 55 gallon humidity 80% heat currently 80 my second bulb burnt out yesterday. Its normally 85-90. Anyway it looks like hes had a prolapse, or some sort of problem theirs a weird pink substance coming out of his backside. Ive been feeding him super worms, mealworms, crickets and dubia roaches. Hes always been a picky eater and that’s all i can get him to eat.

any help is appreciated.

Possible emergency, Cuban Anole, prolapse? Does it remain out or go back in? If it stays out, it is a prolapse. If it disappears back in, it is his hemipenis and analogous to an erection in a mammal.

Possible emergency, Cuban Anole, prolapse? its a prolapse no vets will take him/ are closed for the night. He’s turning more and more black as time goes on. Ive been spraying the prolapse with a water-sugar solution every hour about. I think he going to die. I hope he makes it through but it’s not looking hopeful.

Possible emergency, Cuban Anole, prolapse? My thoughts are with you and your Anole. Its so heartbreaking when you wish to get help, and everything is closed. Keep us posted, perhaps he will hang on until the morning when you can get him to the vet.

Possible emergency, Cuban Anole, prolapse? It went back in, after 24 hours and me spraying with sugar water. He’s active and a nice color again!
