Have you looked at Atrax’s caresheet? It will have all you need to know and much more. ;)

That information is incomplete. There is much more to a proper setup for Anoles than the few items mentioned.

Ten gallon tank (per anole), organic soil (no peat moss, or perlite), fake or real plants, and plenty of them. Branches that will not rot or fungus for climbing and basking. UVB light, a good one is reptisun 5.0, UVA light, two tank thermometers, one in the basking area (where the uvb light is) and another on the cool side of the tank, and a humidity guage

Do not use moss, sand, gravel, walnut shell, bark or coconut husk.

On this forum go down the list and find Atrax care sheet for proper temperature and humidity.

Almost forgot, you might want to get timers for the lights so you can schedule when they go on and off instead of trying to remember. As well as a plant mister for misting the Anole several times a day

Why not use coconut husk? A few of the websites I’ve read on here say to use coconut husk.

Coconut husk fibers are stringy and fibrous and, like thread eaten by a cat or dog, can wreak havoc in their small digestive tracts. Often, if ingested with a prey item and swallowed, it will compact in the gut causing a blockage, and death.

Though many use coconut fiber as bedding successfully, the risk is really to high to use it. Just because one anole has never had a problem, doesn’t mean it won’t be a problem with yours.

The best substrate is free. If your yard is pesticide free, dirt, free and available with no rocks can be sterilized and rid of any parasites by sifting it on a cookie sheet and baking it at 425 for around 1/2 hour.

Sand, walnut shell, bark and moss all have the same compaction risk as coconut and should be avoided.

That information is only semi-correct. They don’t need a log - rather branches that they can climb on well off the substrate. Anoles seldom drink from standing water - they prefer to lick droplets off the foliage and sides of the enclosure from your daily mistings.
