Mine have a tiny bit of pink on the bottom...I’ve seen some without pink though.

Dewlaps vary in color with geography. There are color variations from specimens collected in Louisiana and Florida and even within the Anole’s other range in the US. Basically, though, the most common color is red.

Sigh! Check for two enlarged postanal scales that are visible with slight magnification. If it has them, it is a male. Otherwise, it is a female. Dewlaps have little to do with sexing Anoles are are un unreliable characteristic.
