Cage substrate for more chances of breeding/laying eggs?

Right now, I’ve got my cage filled with sand on the bottom. Should I make it half dirt, half sand? Or keep it all sand?
I’ve got a pregnant female in that cage with 2 Bahaman anoles, one male, one female, and I’m trying to find a good substrate so she can lay her eggs. Do I keep it sand, or add some dirt?
