Any info needed new anole owner! please

i am a new anole owner i rescued two anoles from someone who wasnt taking care of them at all. ive had them about three weeks now and i was told they were both females but one is very much bigger than the other and with the research ive done online im pretty sure its a male and when we first got them my boyfriend said he saw them breeding . and now my female anole is hideing underneath a medium sized shell that we have in the tank and im not sure what to think if she laying eggs or what its the first time since ive had them that she been hideing at all normally shes out basking and loving there new home where they have food and correct humidity and temperture along with the correct living enviroment so im wondering whats going on cause if she is laying eggs i certainly do not want to desturb her cause i would love to have some baby anoles. what should i do ? should i check on her or leave her be? i really am not sure what to do or think! please help!

Anoles have nothing to do with eggs after they are produced. They don’t eat or destroy them, they just ignore them.
