If you have any sucess stories of your anole’s breeding, I’d love to hear it!!! Say what your inclosure is like and what you did right to get them to breed!!!

Which clutch? I’ve been raising them for over 40 years and have had hundreds of egg clutches and several thousand Anoles to hatch. Most of them were released back into the wild.

Your most recent. What do you think is the best way to stimulate breeding?

They usually don’t need any encouragement to mate. In the wild, a male will have 2-6 females in his territory and service any female that wanders through as well. If you have difficulty getting them to breed, reduce the number of hours of light to 8-10 and reduce the temperatures about 5 degrees for 2-3 months. Then, when you increase both, they will think it is spring and mating will begin.
The last full clutch that I had produced a total of 7 hatchlings (I let them hatch in the enclosure with the parents). One spent the winter in our greenhouse outside and the entire lot of them were released on Oak Island, NC to supplement the local population. My curremt project is trying to get my yellow morph male to produce some like offspring but no luck so far. I just put another female in with him a few days ago and she has proven too quick for him so far,
