Caught my lizards mating last night.

hello.
I went to go feed my anoles before i went to bed and i look around and couldnt see them. I look on the tile and saw them mating. I got some questions.
1. What should i do?
2. How long till she will lay?
3. When she lays what should i do with the eggs?
4. How long till the eggs will hatch when there laied?

OK....its probably best for you to read Atrax’s mating rituals post on the anoles forums. It has detailed info about all the info from mating to keeping the eggs. What i would do is carefully remove the eggs without overturning them(i would use a spoon) and place them in a seperate container. I am currently keeping 5 fertile eggs in a small gladware container that is partially filled with soil. The container has many airholes poked through on top and is inside of a ten gallon cage. The soil surrounding the eggs is kept moist but not damp. Also, im keeping the temps at roughly 85 degrees with a 5.5" clamp lamp w/ an incandecent bulb. But before she lays the eggs, she can hold the sperm for up to 7 months or more i believe. Mine layed her first egg roughly 2.5 weeks after they mated. It takes about 35 to 40 days for them to hatch at the right temperatures(longer if they arent heated well enough). ONLY A WEEK OR SO TILL THE FIRST EGG HATCHES FOR ME!!!!!!!!
