I just found out for fact today that Alabama has no requirements for owning caiman other than proof that you aquired them legally so I think I might move there, I also found out that I can do volunteer work at alligator farms and work with crocodilians on a volunteer basis in Florida thus making it way easier to get permits in Florida. Thats all I was waiting on, now I will be moving down south soon and get some documented experience, Alabama might be better to live becuase they dont drain your pocket books to have exotic animals but I did find out today for fact that you can have crocodilians in Florida for personal use and in Alabama it costs nothing for caiman, no permits required in AL, but alligator laws are about the same in both states but if I get some hands on documentation I might be able to raise both gators and caiman in either state. However crocodiles are class 1 and are not issued permits for personal use but thats fine with me, I like caiman and gators better.......
