I read your appendix list again... Is it easier in Florida to get permits for caiman? And if a person wanted to open a small exibit or gator refuge shelter would getting a permit be a big hassle for (american alligator), and I read a little but about Alabamas laws, it seems that having exotic animals is not a problem but it said nothing about alligators but did list lions and tigers, I think Floridas strict laws are not so much about gators being inheratently dangerous but more so about being a protected species and it seems that its more of a conservation thing rather then the danger element, its like that in states where gators are native to the state but non native animals seem to be fine to keep, I know a lion or tiger is WAY more dangerous than a gator, and they can escape way easier from enclosures. But yeah if you can please get back at me with some feed back concerning caiman possession regulations in FL. and Alabama, and the possibilty of getting permits for small exibits in FL. featuring crocodilians.......Thank you, Anyone else can give feed back if they wish. I am serious about the idea and will accomplish it some how, just gotto get through all the legal mumbo jumbo, as I always say, crocs are not for the stupid or immature but for those who are serious they should be exempt from all the legal red tape....... P.S. it seems that caiman are less regulated simply becuase of thier status since they are not a game animal and are not hunted or endangered with a few exeptions like Yacare but dwarf and specticaled caiman are clear and not endangered at all.

Bump...P.S. I read the FWL list again, the new list of 2008, I know is new cuz it list the (reptiles of concern, and class 2 wildlife are given permits for personal possesion, it says that class 1 shall not be permitted to be pets or for personal use, class 1 is lion tigers, big crocodiles ect. American alligator caiman, and dwarf crocodile, are class 2 on this list, class 3 requires no permit fee, the more domestic wildlife is class 3 like racoons ect. That list is on the FWL site scroll down past the Alligator farming permits and trapping until you see class 2 and 3 pet or personal use and clicc on that info..........
