What do you mean "found it"...
Was he OK? Did he die?
If so, I’m sorry to hear that.

 Alligator lizard

I am new to this board and i have a problem. Last summer I caught a Alligator lizard while at work in Satsop WA. I have been trying in vain to find another to keep it company (looking for a male im pretty sure its a female - i found two unfertilized eggs that looked like yellow cough drops in the tank). The question is where do i look is there a time when they are most active and are there any sites with pix of alligator lizards so i can confirm what kind of lizard i have. thanx. tc

My iguana roams my house freely and hes gotten "lost" a couple times but now that i learned his routines i know where he is when hes not where i expected him to me... Basicly i find that my iguana does the same thing everytime hes in a certian situation.... If he walks out of my room he will always turn left twords my brothers room rather then turning right twords the bathroom.. When hes in my brothers room he will always walk to the radiator, climb up it, and get behind his computer monitor where he will strech out and fall asleep for me to find hours later when i come home from work.

My iguana has never been injuried before nor lost hist tail ever as i am a very protective and aware owner and i hate to see carelessness result in harming such a beautiful living being.

If you want it to trust you, just kind of let it be and pet it every once in a while. After a day or two, start picking it up and stroking it for a whie without moving too much. It should trust you after a while.

Can aligator lizards really be good pets? theyre all over the place where i live and every now and then a local kid who has caught one comes and asks me for help with keeping it, depending on my mood that day i either tell them just to let it go, its a wild animal and wont adapt well to captivity, or, on other days i’ll help them set up an elaborate woodland enclosure and see if they ever tame up and straiten out, usually they thin out for around 2 months, then fatten up and become fun to watch, but ive never seen them real handleable, always nippy and squirmy, and for such a small lizard they’ve got a good bite on ’em

 Alligator lizard

yeah i just caught my alligator lizard like a week ago. I just recently found out that he is missing two ribs from an attack of a larger animal, But he has healed pretty well. He is very active and loves me holding him. He has never even tried to bite me. Should i still worry about him biting me? Also he has 3 blue belly’s as friends in a 15-25 gallon tank, should i get a bigger tank for them? They don’t seem to mind. Also on of my blue belly’s is about to lay eggs will the alligator lizard eat them? They have plenty of space to run around but every once in awhile i will take one out at a time and let then just run out side in the grass. Should i keep them inside at all times. My alligator lizard is named drake and i take really good care of him do you think he will live very long as long as i feed them and take care of the cage?
