My wild caught alligator lizard laid some eggs the other day and I just noticed them.... I wasn’t sure what to do and I researched on line and learned they have to be kept moist..... I put them in a small Tupperware with some moist dirt but before I did that they had turned a yellow color and shrunk a little ...... Are they a lost cause. What should I do.

Sorry for the late response. If they are all yellow they are likely a lost cause. If some have just caved in a bit they may bounce back. Females actively digging about are usually looking for a place to lay eggs and should be provided with a moist chamber filled with damp sphagnum moss or vermiculite.
