 Our Ally Not Eating

Our 3 year old Alligator Lizard has stopped eating for about a month. It will drink from time to time but no interest in food. Earlier he had watering eyes and are now mostly closed. He wanders around and rests often. Should he be force fed? Thanks

This really needs the services of a reptile veterinarian. It doesn’t sound like normal Fall torpor. Unfortunately, it won’t be cheap - expect $100 to $300 for tests, diagnosis, and treatment. If it was bad husbandry - not enough heat, bad diet, an explosion of reptile mites brought in with the lizard or something like that - it wouldn’t take 3 years to show.

Were are trying the Flukers recovery formula and it’s slow and go. Today he was agitated and passed a little blood. Any suggestions?

Nope, same as before. He really needs a vet to diagnose the problem. If he’s passing blood he obviously isn’t recovering on his own.
