 Suprised me!

i didnt suspect fatty had grown at all recently but i was wrong when i took him out for a little photo shoot

def too small for the 12 inch rulers

he must have grown at least an inch and a halft in the last couple months

i think all these photo shoots are starting to calm him down he hissed at me alot but always let me hold him and he never bit me, i could never do this with any of my other allies, well maybe gator?

cant wait to see what his second year will be like!!! looks like 20 inches might not be impossible after all :-)

 Suprised me!

Seems like Chatsworth is the place to go for good patterns and colors.

 Suprised me!

Someone was going to feed this to a snake, but a friend saved it for me (would have been a shame to lose such a pretty lizard with a full tail!).

You were looking for a red male, right? I pretty much have what I need so I’m not really collecting anymore, but occasionally, friends who live in this area will call me if they find an exceptionally nice looking one. If someone finds a really colorful one, do you want me to keep it for you?

ya definetly! i would really appreciate that, seems like there are no reds in my area except for my grandparents house which is a little ways from mine, did the red pair with the male you borrowed have they the mated yet?

Thought so, but no eggs yet. Do you think it’s too late in the season?

 Suprised me!

im pretty sure its still possible since ive read many sources that say allies can have multiple clutches in a season! but mine havent, although i saw mine mate in early march! several months before normal time, my eggs were already hatching in may when most allies were just starting to mate but i think it had some to do with the heat flash we were having in the middle of winter

after i saw my pair mate a few weeks later it became obvious she was preg since she was twice her normal size too big from just over eating, and toward the end of her pregnancy she dissapeared and spent all her time completely buried under the substrate, i would occasionally brush away some dirt just to find out where she was, she laid her eggs a little over a month after mating.

what ive found interesting is most info i find say the males are more aggressive but for my allies both my females are extremely aggressive really just toward me but my males are alot more tolerant of me and each other
