Should i put all the crickets in the tank? please help....

i have a 2 month old allie that a little over six inches long in a ten gallon tank, and every tim i feed him, i put him in a seperate feeding container wich is a much smaller plastic box. when i get crickets from the petstore i usually get about 40-50 small. i put about ten in his feeding container, and he usually eats about 3-4 a day. i remove him and put him in his normal cage after a few hours. for now on, instead of moving him to a seperate feeding container, should i just put all 50 crickets in his 10 gallon, so he can eat whenever he wants to?

YOU COULD PUT THEM IN A ESCAPE PROOF BOWL IN THE CAGE NO LID SO HE CAN GET TO THEM AND KEEP POTATOES OR CARROTS IN THE CAGE

Not a good idea to put them all in at once. The crickets may seem small and harmless but, they can and will chew on your Alli. They won’t do much damage if any but, how irritating would that be to get chewed on all day. Just put in as many as he will eat each day. Mine doesn’t like crickets at all. I feed him the large Mealies. He eats about 4 a day and is content. Yours sounds a little small for the large ones. Maybe feed it 6-8 of the small ones a day. I find Mealies are much easier to deal with also. I feed mine with feeding tongs. This way I know how much he is eating.

Good luck with your pet. Alli’s are very interesting and actually have great personalities.
