New Southern Alli owner, need help with tank setup
I am brand new to the lizard world and I don’t have a very elaborate setup, nor do I know how to begin. Do you have any suggestions that won’t cost me an arm and a leg? I currently have my female, who is 12-14" long, in a 20 gallon tank. I am using coconut husk substrate, I have a 100 watt uva light, the temp in the tank is between 70-80 degrees and she has a basking spot right around 90 degrees. She has a rock with ramps on the sides to get her to her basking spot and a good crawl space under it, which is where she spends most of her time. Other than that, I have no idea what I need to add. I am going to be getting a much larger tank, 40-55 gallon, this weekend.

New Southern Alli owner, need help with tank setup You’d mentioned in a previous post that you had the tank near a window for UVB. Glass filters out UVB rays so this will not be an effective way of getting UVB. I’d purchase a fluorescent UVB bulb and fixture. Another very important thing to have is a good calcium supplement. This should be used at every feeding. You want one that contains vitamin D3 and is phosphorus free. I’ve had great results with Rep-cal with vitamin D3. Other than that, your tank sounds great.
